Instructs the BIOS which device is
used to boot the system, and the
order in which the boot routine
checks each device.
NOTE: On Linux systems,
user or user groups
upgraded to administrator or

configure this BIOS setup

• uefi: Enables the system to
boot to operating systems
that support Unified
Extensible Firmware Interface
(UEFI).
• bios: Enables the system to
boot to operating systems
that do not support UEFI.
attribute=bootorder sequence=aliasname1,
aliasname2,..... aliasnameN
Configures the boot sequence
according to the set aliasnames.
To view the set alias names, run
the command omreport
chassis biossetup
attribute=bootorder
NOTE: On Linux systems,
user or user groups
upgraded to administrator or
administrator groups cannot
configure this BIOS setup
setting.
attribute=hddorder sequence=aliasname1,
aliasname2,..... aliasnameN
Configures the BIOS setup hard
disk sequence according to the
set aliasnames. Changes takes
effect after rebooting the system.
To view the set alias names, run
the command omreport
