Cause: The physical
disk has failed or is not
functioning.
Action: Replace the
failed or non-functional
disk. You can identify a
disk that has failed by
locating the disk that
has a red “X” for its
status. Restart the
initialization.

Hardware RAID:
Cause: A physical disk
included in the virtual
disk has failed or is not
functioning. A user may
also have cancelled
the reconfiguration.
Action: Replace the
failed or non-functional
disk. You can identify a
disk that has failed by
locating the disk that
dispalys a red X in the
status field.
If the physical disk is
part of a redundant
array, then rebuild the
physical disk. When
finished, restart
the reconfiguration.
