Known Issues and Workarounds The following subsections list the currently known issues. Known Issues on Linux • Issue 1 (152668): Dell SBUU modifies .bash_profile. Description: Dell Systems Build and Update Utility adds a script to the root user's ".bash_profile" file that prompts for the installation of Dell OpenManage systems management software. This script may interfere with remote client applications that authenticate using the root user account on the system, but cannot handle user prompts.
Resolution: 1. Before upgrading SLES 11 operating system, manually uninstall the OpenSource packages like OpenWSMAN, SFCB, SFCC and LibCmpiCppImpl packages with --nodeps option. 2. Upgrade the SLES11 operating system using Service Pack 1. If the system does not function properly after an upgrade using Service Pack 1, then, reinstall the following Server Administrator packages from the OpenManage install media: rpm -Uhv srvadmin-iws-*.sles11.rpm --nodeps rpm -Uhv srvadmin-itunnelprocider-*.sles11.
Resolution: Run the “srvadmin-services stop” command to stop the OpenManage services and then remove the OpenManage rpms.
