Appendix B: Template Components
OMPE uses SysObjectID SNMP value from RFC1213 to associate a template to a
printer. OMPE compares the SysObjectID of the printer to the SysObjectID of
the template and associates the printer to the template.
The components of a template are:

Properties Defines all template specific properties.
Inheritance Defines mapping of properties between
templates.
Model info Defines properties related to the printer model.
Template variables Defines the properties that are to be set or
retrieved from the printer model.
Translations Defines translations which converts one
property to another.
Group information Defines all EWS parameters that belong to a
specific URL grouped together to perform SET
operation.
Read only
parameters
Lists all parameters that can be read only.
Tray information Defines tray computations specific to the
manufacturer.
Additional
information
Defines additional information such as Restart
information, Restore defaults.
Language support Identifies the current language of the printer.
Firmware
information
Defines firmware commands and parameters.
