Deleting All Events
1. Click Events in the left navigation pane.
2. Click Delete All in the task menu.
A verification box appears.
3. Click Yes to confirm deletion of all events, or click Cancel to close the verification box and return to the previous
screen.
Filtering Events
Filter the event log to display events of specific types, severity levels, Acknowledged By user name, and/or events that
occur within a specific time period.
1. Click Events in the left navigation pane.
2. Click Filter in the task menu.
The Filter dialog box opens from the right side of the screen.
3. Do one or more of the following:
– Select an Event Type from the drop-down list to display only events of a certain type such as
UPS Low
Battery
or
Communication With Node Failed
.
– Select a Severity level (
Critical
,
Warning
, or
Information
).
– Click the Date From and/or Date To fields, and then select or enter dates. If you manually enter dates, use
the format MM/DD/YYYY. Only events from 00:00:00 of the start date to 00:00:00 of the day after the end date
will display—for example, if you enter the filtering option 01–01–2013 as both the start date and end date,
then all events from 00:00:00 of 01–01–2013 to 00:00:00 of 01–02–2013 will display.
– Select a user name from the drop-down list in the Acknowledged By field to sort by that user name.
4. Click Apply to apply your filter, or click Clear to discard your selections and return to the previous screen.
Exporting The Events Log To A CSV File
1. Click Events in the left navigation pane.
2. Click Export to CSV.
The events log downloads to your local system in *.CSV format. The filename will include the date and time:

Sending Test Events from an IPMI Device
Power Center enables you to view test events sent from an IPMI device, therefore, you can verify the event channel
between the IPMI device and Power Center server.
Before sending a test event, make sure:
• The IPMI device is added on the Devices page.
• The network connection status of the IPMI device is
Connected
.
• The Power Center server address is added in the event destination list of the IPMI device.
