3. Select the severity level of event log alerts you want to forward.
4. Enter the email addresses of alert recipients. Separate multiple addresses with a semicolon.
5. Click Test Email to send a test e-mail to the list of e-mail recipients, and verify that the e-mail is sent successfully.
6. Click Save to save your settings, or click Cancel to discard your changes.
Viewing Alert Forward Settings
In the left navigation bar, click Settings, then click Alert Forward Settings.
You can also edit alert forward settings from this screen.
Editing SMTP Settings
Add the SMTP information that Dell OpenManage Power Center uses to forward event alert messages.
1. In the left navigation bar, click Settings, then click Alerts.
2. In the SMTP section of the screen, click Edit.
The Edit SMTP Settings screen appears.
3. Enter the following information:
Server Address/Hostname SMTP server IP address or hostname.
Server Port SMTP server port number
Reply Address E-mail address to which you want replies to Power Center alerts sent.
Authentication Place a check mark in the box if you want to require authentication.
User Name Account user name
Password Account password
Enable SSL Place a check mark in the box you want to enable SSL.
4. Click Save to save your settings, or click Cancel to discard your changes.
Licensing
Dell OpenManage Power Center requires a valid license. Power Center automatically installs a 60-day trial license at the
time of installation. You must import a perpetual license before the trial license expires. Only users with the Manage
License privilege can import the license.
You can view license information on the Licensing screen. Power Center license information includes:
Product Name — Product name
Version — Product version
License Type — Trial (60 days) or Perpetual
Expiration — For Trial license only. Displays the license expiration date in the format: YYYY-MM-DD, Days Left:
xx.
Status — Valid or Expired
From the Licensing screen you can:
Import a license
NOTE: The Home screen displays a warning message when the license expires in less than 30 days.
