If a Bind Distinguished Name is provided, Power Center does not attempt an anonymous bind search.
Bind Password (optional unless a Bind Distinguished Name is provided).
Base Distinguished Name to Search (required). The Distinguished Name of the branch of the directory from
which searches start. For example:
ou=ccr,dc=dell,dc=com
Attribute of User Login (optional). Specify an attribute for which to search. If this field is not configured, the
default search string used is “uid”. The User Login attribute must be unique.
4. To configure advanced LDAP settings, place a check mark in the Advanced Settings check box, then provide the
following information:
LDAP Server Port (required). Enter the port number for the LDAP server over SSL. The default port number
is 636.
Search Filter (optional). Specify a valid LDAP search filter if you cannot uniquely identify the login user
within the chosen Base Distinguished Name. If a search filter is not provided, the filter defaults to
(objectClass=*) and searches all objects in the tree. The maximum length of this property is 1024
characters.
Network Timeout (seconds). Controls how long OpenManage Power Center LDAP waits for an LDAP server
to set up a connection. The default is 30 seconds.
Search Timeout (seconds). Controls how long an individual request can take before OpenManage Power
Center LDAP stops awaiting a response to the search request. The default is 120 seconds.
To enable LDAP certificate validation, place a check mark in the Certificate Validation Enabled check box
(optional). If this option is selected, Power Center uses the CA certificate to validate the LDAP server
certificate during the SSL handshake.
* Upload Directory Service CA Certificate (optional unless Certificate Validation is enabled). Click
Browse and navigate to the CA certificate you want to upload, then click Open to upload the new
certificate.
* Directory Service CA Certificate Information. Information describing the CA certificate currently in
effect displays.
5. Click Save to save your settings, or click Cancel to discard your changes.
Viewing Directory Settings
In the left navigation bar, click Settings, then click Directory Settings.
You can also edit directory settings from this screen.
Alert Settings
On the Alert Settings screen, you can view and edit alert forward settings including:
Severity Level— The severity levels (critical, warning, and informative) of events for which alerts are sent.
Email Recipients — The email addresses of event alert recipients.
Editing Alert Settings
1. In the left navigation bar, click Settings, and then click Alerts.
2. In the Severity Level section of the screen, click Edit.
