How To:
Perform Patch Upgrades
The patch process for patching the web portal is as follows:
1
Copy the *.ddp and *.ocp files to the installation root directory.

Copy the patched NetViewFactory.war and synergy-tomcat-xxxxx.zip to the installation root.
These must replace any old files in the installation package that are not on the installed
instance.

Re-run the installation.
If you know there were no changes to the user interface side and only the backend bridge
(NetViewFactory) then you can shut down your application server and replace the
NetViewFactory.war in the
oware/jboss-x.x/../deploy
directory and then restart the
application server.
NOTE:
OpenManage Network Manager changes the port for Web Services from 80 to 8089.

Upgrading on Linux
The following are best practices for upgrading from a previous a version of OpenManage Network
Manager on a Linux machine:

Ensure you have installed the 32-bit Linux Libraries, as described earlier in this guide.

Verify your previous version’s installation application server starts without exceptions

Back up the database, and any other resources that need manual installation. Consult Release
notes for a list of these.

Proceed with the upgrade.
