Create a VM snapshot from the OpenStack dashboard as follows.
1 Shut off the instance from.
a. Select Project > Compute > Instances.
A list of instances is displayed.
b. Select the Shut Off Instance action for the appropriate instance.
A confirmation message is displayed.
c. Click shut Off Instance.
If you prefer to shutdown Firefly VM processes from the Firefly SRX command-line interface
(CLI) shell, use the
request system power-off command or the request system
halt
command. Refer to your Juniper firefly documentation for more details.
2 Create a snapshot image.
a. Select Admin > System > Instances.
A list of instances is displayed.
b. Select the Create Snapshot action for the instance.
The Create a Snapshot window is displayed.
