Understanding the Message Properties Files
Following the convention cited in Localizing Message Files on page 762, the name of a Spanish-
language (Español) message properties file intended for use in Mexico would be:
rcmsgs_es_mx.properties
The entries in this file are grouped according to function. If you want to create a local language
version of the OpenManage Network Manager messages, edit the message properties file and
translate the message portion of each entry into the language appropriate for your site.
Edit the Message Properties file with any text editor that renders the characters you need. Double-
byte characters are allowed, but the OpenManage Network Manager application supports only left-
to-right text rendering. The following example shows an edited message properties file with Italian
translations.
