850 File Servers
You can create a new entry in this table, or edit an existing, selected entry with the
New
and
Open
buttons, respectively. You can also display the Internal File Server Setup screen by clicking the
Open
button when you have selected the internal file server, which exists in
disabled
state by
default.

a selected entry with those buttons. Finally, you can select a server, and
Enable
or
Disable
it with those buttons.
NOTE:
When testing, status messages typically come in pairs.
The table of existing servers appears with columns for
Hostname
(including a green/red icon
indicating whether the server is working/not working),
FTP Path, IP Address, Port, Available?,
and
TFTP Service.
You can see descriptions of these fields (and the editor where you configure them) in
External Servers on page 850
. You cannot edit the
Internal (FTP/TFTP)
server
CAUTION:
You must install FTP and TFTP as described in the Administration Section before it can function correctly.
Also: Ensure you have the correct login/password and enough disk space for the anticipated FTP load
before you set up your FTP server.
External Servers
To configure an external file server, click
New
(or select an existing external server and click
Open
)
and an FTP Server editor appears (you cannot edit the internal FTP server). Click an editable row
in the list of servers and click
Open
, or click
New
(and select
External
) to create a new external FTP
server, and the New/Edit FTP Server Form appears.
