Event Definition
—You can optionally select an event with the command button (...), or delete it
with the red “X” button. Selecting an event is not necessary, but if you do select one, the
available filter criteria below are limited to those appropriate to the event selected. If you
select no event, then only generic filter criteria appear in the next section of the screen.
NOTE:
If you want to filter on event varbind data, then select the event. The varbind attributes appear in the
lowest panel.
Specify Filter Query
Click
Add Group
to create a group of matching criteria. The
Match Any of the following
and
Match All of the following
radio buttons determine whether the selected group of criteria is
configured with a logical
OR
or a logical
AND
for its components.
Click
Add
to create criteria. Edit these as described in
Filter Editor on page 736
.
Audit
The
Audit
tab displays a history of the rule’s use.

Correlation Event Processing Rule Editor
When you select
Correlation
as the type of new rule you want to create, or edit, this editor appears.
When you are creating a new rule, you must select which type from an intervening screen.

For new rules, you must select the type from the following:
• Reject Event
•Set Severity
•Suppress Alarm
