Tunnel Configuration / GRE Unit Tunnel
By encapsulating arbitrary packets inside a transport protocol, tunneling provides a private, secure
path through an otherwise public network. Tunnels connect discontinuous subnetworks and enable
encryption interfaces, virtual private networks (VPNs), and Multiprotocol Label Switching
(MPLS).

Configure the following fields in this screen:

Source Address
The IP address of the tunnel source.

Destination Address
The IP address of the tunnel destination.

Time-to-Live
The lifetime of this tunnel.

Routing Instance
Select from the pick list.

Clear-don’t fragment
Sets the bit on a GRE tunnel when used on the AS PIC.
The Unit is an endpoint for the GRE Tunnel.

VCI shaping for the selected unit.
