You can select the devices that are detected as being enabled, in the device
selection pane of the ASF power control wizard. If the remote device does not
have the WMI provider installed, is not enabled for remote secure RMCP
operations, or if the administrator privileges have not been configured for the
power control operation correctly, the device will appear disabled in
IT Assistant.
NOTE: You can select the disabled devices, if you select the Enable All option.
If the settings are altered, rediscover the device. This allows IT Assistant to use
the updated configuration to enable/disable the client devices in the wizard.
Using Server Software Deployment
IT Assistant provides an integrated method to install Dell OpenManage
Server Administrator on supported Dell systems.
Dell OpenManage Server Administrator Web Server and Server
Instrumentation are now separately installable components.
Earlier versions of IT Assistant supported only Server Administrator
deployment. Starting with IT Assistant 8.5, you can selectively deploy Server
Instrumentation or Server Administrator Web Server or both based on the
scenarios described below. Also, Server Administrator Web Server component
can be installed on both server and non-server systems (laptops, desktops, and
workstations).
Installation Scenarios
Based on the option selected at installation time, you can either install Server
Administrator Web Server, Server Instrumentation or both, on Windows and
Linux.
