Features From Previous Releases
The following features were introduced in previous versions of IT Assistant:
Power Distribution Unit (PDU) and UPS Traps
IT Assistant can receive integrated traps from PDU and UPS devices. PDU
and UPS devices are grouped under the Unknown category and have no
discovery support.
Navigate to AlertsCategories/SourcesAlert CategoriesPDU for the
list of PDU traps and AlertsCategories/SourcesAlert CategoriesUPS
for the list of UPS traps.
The supported PDU devices comply with the PDUs listed in the
DellrPDU.MIB file. The supported UPS devices comply with the UPS
devices listed in the upsMIB.MIB and DELL_SNMP_UPS.MIB files. The
MIB files are available on the
Dell Systems Management Tools and
Documentation
DVD
or on the Dell Support website at support.dell.com.
Integrated Secure Digital (SD) Card Traps
The new generation Dell PowerEdge systems (yx1x) use internal SD cards for
embedded hypervisor and vFlash media. IT Assistant can discover and
monitor the health and redundancy status of SD cards. Similar to other
SNMP traps, you can associate alerts actions such as, e-mail notification or
launch an application for the SD card related traps.
