Importance

RECOMMENDED: Dell EMC recommends the customer to review specifics about the software update to determine if it applies to your

system. The update contains changes that impact certain configurations, or provides new features that may/may not apply to your

environment.

NOTE: Dell EMC Microsoft Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) Ready Nodes - Microsoft Azure Stack HCI features are

What’s new?

• Support for Windows server 2019 operating system deployment.

• Support for System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) version 1809.

• Support for System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) version 1902.

• Support for System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) SAC version 1807.

• Support for System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) 2019.

• Support for Cluster Aware Update (CAU) on Windows server 2019.

• Support for Windows server 2019 Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) cluster deployment.

Fixes

• In Modular Systems view, the firmware version of PowerEdge MX7000 displays the right decimal value.

• Polling frequency of catalog takes place once in specified time interval and the bell color changes to yellow when there is a change in

catalog.

• In Maintenance Center page, the Firmware compliance report for 14th generations of servers with iDRAC firmware of 3.30.30.30 and

above, for PERC H330 adapter/NIC/BOSS, the update shows the baseline versions.

• IP Auto configuration attribute in iSCSI General Parameters contains desired values (Enabled or Disabled) in drop-down.

• While creating Operational Template using Modular System device type, if there are no MX7000 servers discovered, the Reference

IP field is blank.

Installation prerequisites

• Ensure OMIMSSC for SCCM and SCVMM version 7.1 or version 7.1.1 is deployed before upgrading to OMIMSSC for SCCM and

SCVMM version 7.2.

• Ensure that no jobs are running. If running, wait till the jobs are completed.

• Back up the OMIMSSC appliance data.

Upgrade instructions

Service Pack upgrade from previous versions of OMIMSSC to OMIMSSC v7.2 is not available.

To upgrade from an earlier version of OMIMSSC, back up the data of your current version and restore it in OMIMSSC v7.2 appliance.
