Steps
1 In OMIMSSC, perform any of the following steps to create a Credential Prole:
• In OMIMSSC dashboard, click Create Credential Prole.
• In the navigation pane, click Proles > Credential Prole, and then click Create.
2 In Credential Type, select the credential prole type that you want to use.
3 Provide a prole name and description.
NOTE: Default Prole for option is applicable only for a Device type credential prole.
4 In Credentials, provide the user name and password.
• If you are creating a Device Credential Prole, select to make this prole as the default prole to log in to iDRAC or CMC by
selecting the Default Prole for option. Select None, if you choose not to set the prole as a default prole.
• If you are creating a Windows Credential Prole, provide the domain details in Domain.
NOTE: Provide the domain name with Top Level Domain (TLD) details while creating the credential prole for
console enrollment.
For example, if the domain name is mydomain, and the TLD is com, provide the domain name in credential prole as:
mydomain.com.
• If you are creating a Proxy Server Credentials, provide the proxy server URL http://hostname:port or http://
IPaddress:port format in Proxy Server URL.
5 To create the prole, click Finish.
Modifying credential prole
About this task
Consider the following before modifying a credential prole:
• After creating, you cannot modify the type of a credential prole. However, you can modify other elds.
• You cannot modify a credential prole, if it is in use.
NOTE
: The steps to modify any type of credential prole are the same.
Steps
1 Select the credential prole that you want to modify, click Edit, and update the prole.
2 To save the changes made, click Save.
Next step
To view the changes made, refresh the Credential Prole page.
Deleting credential prole
About this task
Consider the following when you are deleting a credential prole:
• When a device type credential prole is deleted, the associated RunAsAccount from SCVMM is also deleted.
• When RunAsAccount in SCVMM is deleted, the corresponding credential prole is not available in OMIMSSC.
• To delete a credential prole that is used in discovering servers, delete the discovered server and then delete the credential prole.
• To delete a device type credential prole that is used for deployment, rst delete the servers that are deployed in the SCVMM
environment and then delete the credential prole.
• You cannot delete a credential prole if it is used in an update source.
