Table 17. Storage details for a single host

Information
EnclosuresThe Controller ID of the storage
enclosure is displayed as 0 instead of the correct
Controller ID.
Physical DisksThe media type for HDD is
displayed as Magnetic Drive instead of Hard Disk
Drive.
NOTE: For an MX chassis in an MCM configuration, the storage data may not be displayed for an MX host managed
using the chassis profile and for a host present in the member chassis. In such cases, it is recommended to manage the
host using iDRAC.
Viewing storage details for the view option
The storage options on the Host Storage page depend on what you select from the View drop-down list.
Select either of the mentioned options from the View drop-down list and view the following:

Information Description
Virtual drives
Namedisplays the name of the virtual drive
Device FQDDdisplays the FQDD
Physical Diskdisplays on which physical disk the virtual drive is located
Capacitydisplays the capacity of the virtual drive
Layoutdisplays the layout type of the virtual storage, which means the
type of RAID that was configured for this virtual drive
Media Typedisplays either SSD or HDD
Controller IDdisplays the controller ID
Device IDdisplays the device ID
Stripe Sizedisplays the stripe size, which is the amount of space that
each stripe consumes on a single disk
Bus Protocoldisplays the technology that the physical disks in the virtual
drive are using. The possible values are:
SCSI
SAS
SATA
Default Read Policydisplays the default read policy that is supported by
the controller. The options include:
Read-Ahead
No-Read-Ahead
Adaptive Read-Ahead
Read Cache Enabled
Read Cache Disabled
Default Write Policydisplays the default write policy that is supported by
the controller. The options include:
Write-Back
Force Write Back
Write Back Enabled
Write-Through
Write Cache Enabled Protected
Write Cache Disabled
Cache Policydisplays if cache policy is enabled
