Manage OMIVV appliance settings
On the Settings page, you can perform the following tasks:
Configure warranty expiration notification settings. For more information, see Configure warranty expiration notification on
page 91.
Configure the latest appliance version notification. For more information, see Configure latest appliance version notification
on page 91.
Override severity for Proactive HA alerts. For more information, see Override severity of health update notification on page
96.
Initial Configuration. For more information, see Initial configuration on page 97
Configure and view events and alarms. For more information, see Configure events and alarms on page 103.
Schedule or modify data retrieval schedules for inventory and warranty. For more information, see Schedule inventory job on

About this task
If multiple vCenter instances share the same vCenter linked mode environment and vCenter instances are registered with more
than one instance of an OMIVV appliance, you can switch between the different instances of OMIVV appliance.
You have an option to switch between default appliance and current active appliance. When you log in to vCenter Client for
the first time, the first compliant appliance is selected as default and current active appliance. You can choose to change both
default and current active appliances as per your requirement. This setting is unique for each vCenter within the vCenter linked
mode environment.
Steps
1. On the OMIVV home page, click CHANGE.
IP/NameThe OMIVV appliance FQDN or IP
VersionThe current version of the OMIVV appliance
Compliance StatusThe status (Compliant or Non-compliant) of the OMIVV appliance based on the version
Availability StatusThe availability status of the OMIVV appliance based on whether the OMIVV services are running.
OK or ERROR is displayed to indicate the working status of OMIVV.
Registered vCenter ServersThe registered vCenter server FQDN or IP
Default appliance The default appliance. By default, the first appliance in the list is selected as default appliance
until you change the settings. Different vCenters can have different default appliance. This setting remains default option
even if the user log out and log in again.
Current active appliance The current active appliance. This setting is default only for current active session.
2. On the Switch OMIVV Appliance page, select an appropriate default and current active appliances, and then click FINISH.
3. To confirm, click YES.
