OMIVV shows only BIOS and iDRAC attributes on the Profile
Settings page of System Profile

OS deployment is completed with unknown error
This issue occur when you perform OS deployment with different user other than the user used to discover the server. The
error message on the OMIVV Logs page shows class not found error.
Resolution: NA , this issue does not affect the functionality of the OMIVV features.

Chassis Management Controller (CMC) firmware update fails in
FX2 chassis
OMIVV enables you to update FX2 chassis CMC firmware through server iDRAC. CMC firmware update fails if Allow CMC
Updates Through OS and Lifecycle Controller option is disabled in iDRAC.
Resolution: Perform the following in iDRAC:
1. Go to Settings > Update and Rollback.
2. Set the Allow CMC Updates Through OS and Lifecycle Controller to Enabled.

ISO profile deployment fails in OMIVV
The ISO profile deployment job that is scheduled at older version of OMIVV is not valid in latest version of OMIVV.
Resolution: Cancel the scheduled job and create a deployment job as required.
Deployment job fails if the scheduled job is not canceled. In this case, discover the server as bare-metal and create ISO profile
deployment job.

Bare-metal deployment issues
This section deals with issues found during the deployment process.
Auto discovery and handshake prerequisites
● Prior to running auto discovery and handshake, ensure that iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller firmware and BIOS versions meet
the minimum recommendations.
● CSIOR must have run at least once on the system or iDRAC.
Hardware configuration failure
● Before initiating a deployment task, ensure that the system has completed CSIOR and is not in the process of rebooting.
● BIOS configuration should be run in clone mode so that the reference server is an identical system.
● Some controllers do not allow creation of a RAID 0 array with one drive. This feature is supported only on high-end
controllers, and the application of such a hardware profile can cause failures.
Enabling auto discovery on newly purchased system
The auto discovery feature of a host system is not enabled by default; instead, enablement must be requested at the time of
purchase. If auto discovery enablement is requested at the time of purchase, DHCP is enabled on the iDRAC and admin
