Using Baseline tab

You can use the Baseline tab to create repository profile and cluster profile.

Repository profile

Repository profile allows you to create or maintain multiple driver or firmware repository profiles. These driver or firmware repository

profiles can be used in:

• Baseline profile to identify drift for vSAN cluster.

• Update driver or firmware for vSAN clusters or vSAN cluster nodes.

NOTE:

• Use a custom firmware catalog created specific to your vSAN environments.

• Driver repository profile can have a maximum of 10 drivers.

NOTE: Ensure that you do not have more than 10 offline bundles (.zip files). If more files are present, the

selection of drivers is random.

• For driver repository profile, only VIB-formatted asynchronous drivers from offline bundles are used (.zip files).

NOTE: Only the necessary asynchronous VIB drivers that are validated against the vSAN requirements. For

information, see VMware Hardware Compatibility Matrix.

• For driver repository profile, OMIVV requires write access to the CIFS or NFS.

• For driver repository profile, files within the subfolders or files exceeding 10 MB sizes are ignored.

• Only after successful parsing, the repository profiles are available for use in the Baseline Profile or for running a job

to update the vSAN driver or firmware.

• If more than one version of firmware is available, the latest firmware version is always used for compliance

comparison.

To launch the repository profile page, perform the following steps:

1. On the OpenManage Integration for VMware vCenter page, click the Manage > Baseline tab, expand Baseline Info, and then

click Repository Profile.

a. On the Repository Profile page, view the list of repository profiles that you have created.

A table is displayed, that lists the repository profiles along with Profile Name, Description, Type, Share Path, Last

Successfully Updated Time, and Last Refresh Status.

b. To view further details of a repository profile, select the desired repository profile.

View the repository profile information that displays such as Profile Name, Share Path, Date Created, Date Modified, and

Last Modified By.

c. To swap the columns within the data grid, drag columns within the data grid.

d. To filter or search the content of the data grid, type the filter criteria in the Filter field.
