2. In the left pane, select Authoring.
3. Click Management Pack Objects, and then double-click Object discoveries.
4. In the Look for box, search for Dell EMC Feature Management Host Discovery.
5. Right-click, and then select Override > Summary > For all objects of class: Management Server
The Overrides Summary wizard dialog box is displayed.
6. Search for Class=Object Discovery, Parameter=FMP Host FQDN, and then corresponding Effective value for the MS
FQDN name.
View status of restoring the OMIMSSC appliance data
About this task
After restoring the OMIMSSC appliance data, it is recommended that you wait for 15 minutes before you log in so that all
services are initiated. To view the status of a job run on OMIMSSC to restore the appliance data, do the following:
Steps
1. Log in to the OMIMSSC Admin portal as a default administrator.
2. To view the restore logs, Select Settings > Jobs and Logs Center.
3. Click Generic Logs > Appliance Logs.
NOTE: When you restore from OMIMSSC appliance version 7.1 and 7.1.1, wait until all the management packs are
updated to the OMIMMSC 7.2 version. Also, ensure that the Feature Management Dashboard gets updated and the
appliance is automatically restarted. Wait for an hour to view the updated dashboard.
NOTE: After the OMIMSSC data is restored, power off the VM with the earlier version of the OMIMSSC appliance
where data was backed up.
Upgrade OMIMSSC version 7.2 to 7.3
About this task
After restoring the OMIMSSC appliance version 7.1 or 7.1.1 data to OMIMSSC appliance version 7.2, you can use the service
packs available on Dell Technologies support site to upgrade OMIMSSC version 7.2 to the latest version 7.3. For more
information about downloading and using the service packs to upgrade, see Upgrade the OMIMSSC appliance version by using
service packs on page 74.
Update OMIMSSC appliance using Updates and
Recommendations page on the SCOM console
Prerequisites
Ensure that either of the prerequisites are met:
A Dell EMC PowerEdge Server is discovered and monitored on the SCOM console.
Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Dashboard View management pack is installed as part of the previous deployment of the
OMIMSSC appliance.
About this task
The Updates and Recommendations page on the SCOM console lists any available updates to the OMIMSSC appliance. You
can get information about the installed version, the latest version, and the release date of the latest version of the OMIMSSC
appliance.
To update to the latest version of the OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM:
