7. In the upgrade logs directory to view or download the log files for the service pack upgrade:
a. Select the <service pack version number> directory.
For example, the 7.1.1.2035 directory to view or download the log files for the service pack upgrade.
8. The OMIMSSC appliance VM restarts to apply the service pack updates. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes and log in to the
OMIMSSC Admin Portal, and then delete the browser cache history.
Next steps
After upgrading to the OMIMSSC appliance version 7.3, perform the following actions:
1. On the SCOM console, identify the Dell EMC Alert Relay Serverspreviously known as Proxy Management Servers, from
the DellProxyMSgroup by navigating to Authoring > Groups. Right-click DellProxyMSgroup and select View group
members.
2. From the OMIMSSC Admin Portal, download Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer.
3. On the identified Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers (or Proxy Management Servers) previously configured using OMIMSSC
version 7.2, install the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer and configure as the guidelines provided in the Scalability
with Dell EMC OpenManage Integration with Microsoft System Center (OMIMSSC) for System Center Operations Manager
(SCOM) Technical White Paper (A01 version).
4. Discover Alert Relay Servers as agent-managed systems.
The Alert Relay Servers are listed under Dell EMC Alert Relay Server State View.
5. Clear the cache of the default web browser and log in to the Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Dashboard. Select Sync
with SCOM MS to synchronize details related to Alert Relay Servers and Management Servers with the OMIMSSC
appliance.
6. To delete the Proxy Management Server related details which are not required:
a. Identify the Proxy Management Server overridesDell EMC Agent Resource <X> Override, where X is a value between
0 and 19 in a Scalable mode setup with 20 Proxy Management Servers, and then delete from the SCOM console.
b. Remove the members from the DellProxyMSgroup, except the agents.
c. Remove DellProxyMSGroup.
d. Navigate to Administration > Installed Management Packs and then delete the Dell EMC management packs in the
sequence in which they are listed. Finally, delete the Dell EMC Group Creation Library version 7.2.0.0 management pack
from the SCOM console.
Upgrade the appliance by backing up and restoring
OMIMSSC appliance data
The backup feature of OMIMSSC saves information about all the enrolled SCOM consoles, discovered devices along with license
information, jobs running in OMIMSSC dashboard, credential profiles, and the configuration settings. To upgrade the OMIMSSC
appliance from versions 7.1 and 7.1.1 to the latest version 7.3, you must:
Restore the backed-up file in the OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM version 7.2.
Upgrade OMIMSSC version 7.2 to 7.3 using the service packs available on the support site.
NOTE:
Upgrading the OMIMSSC appliance from versions 7.1 and 7.1.1 to the latest version 7.3 using the service packs is
not supported.
Back up data of OMIMSSC 7.1 and OMIMSSC 7.1.1
About this task
If there are any jobs running on the OMIMSSC dashboard, wait until the jobs are completed, and then back up the appliance
data.
To back up the OMIMSSC appliance data:

1. Start the OMIMSSC appliance VM.
The Text-based User Interface (TUI) is displayed.
2. Enter the admin password, and then press Enter.
