3. In the Windows Network Share Path for backup box, enter the Windows Network Share path to save the backup file.
NOTE: Ensure that the Windows Network Share is in the same domain as the SCOM Management Server.
4. From the Credential Profile for Windows Network Share drop-down menu, select the Credential Profile to access the
Windows Network Share.
To create a Windows Credential profile, click Create New.
5. To encrypt the backup file, enter a strong password, and then reconfirm it.
6. Click Test Connection.
If the connection to the Windows Network Share is successful, a message is displayed.
7. Click Backup.
A message is displayed to indicate that the backup operation is completed.
NOTE: The Backup file is saved on the specified Windows Network Share as a ZIP file.
8. Click Close.
Restore settings and data of OMIMSSC appliance
About this task
Restores all the enrolled SCOM consoles, discovered devices along with license information, jobs running in OMIMSSC
dashboard, credential profiles, device discovery configuration settings, and information about Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers.
To restore the OMIMSSC appliance settings and data, do the following:
Steps
1. Log in to OMIMSSC Admin portal as the default admin.
2. In the left pane, select Settings > Restore Appliance.
The Restore OMIMSSC Appliance Settings and Data wizard is displayed. Read through the information and alert
message.
