Backup and restore OMIMSSC appliance
settings and data
The backup feature of OMIMSSC saves information about all the enrolled SCOM consoles, discovered devices along with license
information, jobs running in OMIMSSC dashboard, credential profiles, and the configuration settings. To restore the OMIMMSC
appliance data in a new VM, deploy the OMIMSSC appliance on the new VM and restore the backed-up file.
NOTE: You can backup existing OMIMSSC appliance data and restore in a new OMIMSSC appliance VM of the same
appliance version only. For example, you can backup OMIMSSC version 7.3 appliance data and restore in a new OMIMSSC
version 7.3 appliance VM only.

Prerequisites
Ensure that you have created a Windows Network Share in the same domain as SCOM Management Server.
About this task
The backup function backs up the OMIMSSC appliance data and creates a backup file in the custom Windows Network Share.
To back up the OMIMSSC appliance data, do the following:
Steps
1. Log in to the OMIMSSC Admin portal as the default admin by entering password.
The Admin Portal login page is displayed.
2. In the left pane, select Settings > Backup Appliance.
The Backup OMIMSSC Appliance Settings and Data wizard is displayed.
