Parameters are restored to the previous values.
NOTE: After repairing the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer, if required, you must manually update the values of the
registry entries.
Next steps
If repairing the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer fails or if any installation issue persists, then you can manually restore
the registry settings using the registry backup that is created by the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer and install Dell
EMC Alert Relay Server Installer using the configuration scripts available in the C:\Program Files\Dell Management
Packs\Automation location.
Uninstall Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer
About this task
WARNING: Uninstalling the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer stops the monitoring of Dell EMC devices that
are associated with the respective Alert Relay Server. Therefore, ensure that correct number of Alert Relay
Servers are available to continue monitoring the Dell EMC devices on the SCOM console.
NOTE:
Before uninstalling the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer, close the C:\Program Files\Dell Management
Packs folder to ensure that all the associated Alert Relay Server files are successfully removed.
The Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer cannot be uninstalled using the Windows Control Panel.
Steps
1. [Optional] If the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer is deleted from the system, access the Dell EMC OMIMSSC Admin
Portal, and then select Downloads in the left pane and download the installer.
2. From the downloaded location, double-click the DellEMCAlertRelayServerInstaller.msi file and click Next.
3. Select Remove, and then click Next.
4. Click Remove and to confirm uninstalling Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer, click Yes.
5. Click Finish.
Results
NOTE: When you uninstall the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer, logs are not removed from the system.
After the Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer is successfully uninstalled, the Alert Relay Servers will no longer be listed under
Administration > Device Management > Device Management > Agent Managed. The corresponding Dell EMC Alert Relay
Server Diagram View and Dell EMC Alert Relay Server State View will not be displayed. Event ID 74 is generated in the Windows
Event Viewer with details related to the registry updates performed during the uninstallation.
When you select Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Dashboard > Sync with SCOM MS, a warning message is displayed
informing you that all the associated devices with the Alert Relay Server will no longer be monitored and will be removed from
the SCOM console. The devices must be rediscovered to be monitored on the SCOM console by the OMIMSSC appliance.
