ā To troubleshoot any issues during or after the enrollment, see Troubleshooting on page 82.
If there are multiple SCOM Management Servers within the SCOM Management Group, this process enrolls all the SCOM
Management Servers within that SCOM Management Group. If a SCOM Management Server is added or deleted from All
Management Server Resource Pool (AMSRP), synchronize the SCOM console data that are enrolled with OMIMSSC. See
Synchronize details of Management Servers and Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers with OMIMSSC on page 41.
NOTE: Informational event (event ID 71) is generated in the Windows Event Viewer under Windows Logs > Application.
This event contains information about the prerequisites which get configured on the SCOM Management Servers.
The Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Dashboard link is displayed under the Monitoring > Dell EMC > Dell EMC
OpenManage Integration Views pane of the SCOM console. You can now start discovering and monitoring your devices by
using the Dell EMC OpenManage Integration Dashboard or through the SCOM console.
WARNING: Before you try to enroll SCOM Management Servers (in a SCOM Management Group) to a
different OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM, ensure that you de-enroll them from the current appliance. For more
information about de-enrolling the Management Servers from OMIMSSC appliance for SCOM, see De-enroll
(Deregister) SCOM Management Group enrolled with OMIMSSC on page 80.
Modify enrollment settings
About this task
You can edit the enrollment settings using the Edit option on the Console Enrollment page.
You can use the edit enrollment option to:
ā Change the Windows Credential Profile.
ā Update the SNMP v1 or v2 Community Name.
ā Change the monitoring scope and mode of the devices that you want to monitor on the SCOM console.
ā Re-run the enrollment job when any of the sub tasks of the enrollment job is unable to complete.
NOTE:
On the Console Enrollment page, the Edit option to modify the enrollment settings is disabled when an
enrollment, de-enrollment, or force de-enrollment job is in progress. Wait for these jobs to complete before editing the
enrollment settings.
Steps
1. On a web browser, enter the IP address of the OMIMSSC appliance and log in as an OMIMSSC ADMIN user.
2. To expand the left pane, click the > icon, and then select Settings > Console Enrollment.
3. In the working pane, select the enrollment and click Edit.
The Edit Enrollment Settings page is displayed.
4. You can edit the following settings:
a. Name of the enrollment.
b. In the SCOM MS FQDN box, enter an FQDN of the new SCOM Management Server to be enrolled with the OMIMSSC
appliance.
This new FQDN is listed as a new entry on the Console Enrollment page.
c. From the Credentials drop-down menu, you can select a different Windows Credential profile with local administrative
privileges on the SCOM Management Server and Operations Manager administrative privileges.
To create a credential profile, see Create Windows Credential Profile on page 27.
d. To verify the connection between OMIMSSC appliance and SCOM Management Server, click Test Connection.
If the test connection is successful, the following message is displayed: Test connection is successful.
e. The SNMP community name for SNMP v1 or v2.
A Run As account, named DellEMC_OMIMSSC_SNMP_RunAsAccount, is created and gets associated with the SNMP
Monitoring Account Profile on the SCOM console. This is used to receive alerts from the discovered Dell EMC devices on
SCOM console.
f. Under Monitoring scope, you can change the device types that you want to monitor using the OMIMSSC appliance for
SCOM.
NOTE:
At least one of the device types must be selected under Monitoring scope to proceed with the enrollment
job.
