Microsoft System Center—Operations Manager (SCOM) console. The Dell EMC OMIMSSC appliance integrates with Microsoft
SCOM to discover, inventory, monitor health, monitor performance metrics, and monitor alerts of PowerEdge servers and rack
workstations, Modular Infrastructure (including PowerEdge MX7000), and network switches. The OMIMSSC appliance offers
the agent-free monitoring of Dell EMC Servers and Rack Workstations-through iDRAC or iSM management pack, Dell EMC
Chassis, and Dell EMC Networking Switches.

New features
● For a seamless onboarding of the OMIMSSC appliance for agent-free monitoring:
○ Wizard-based enhancement to enroll SCOM Management Group and Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers (previously known as
Proxy Management Servers) with the OMIMSSC appliance.
○ Dell EMC Alert Relay Server Installer to onboard and configure the Dell EMC Alert Relay Servers to discover and monitor
multiple Dell EMC devices by scaling up the monitoring capabilities on the SCOM console.
○ For seamless alert reception capabilities, the SNMP Monitoring Profile on the SCOM console is automatically associated
with the Dell EMC Hardware class after the enrollment of SCOM Management Group.
● An option to create, edit, and delete Windows Credential profiles on the OMIMSSC Admin Portal.
● Using online (https://linux.dell.com/repo/omimssc-scom/latest/) or offline custom repositories, you can update to the
latest OMIMSSC appliance version wherein the imported Dell EMC Management Packs, appliance kernel RPMs, and
application RPMs are automatically updated.
● SCOM Console administrators receive recommendations to install or update the OMIMSSC Appliance and agent-
free management packs for supported PowerEdge servers, AX nodes, and S2D Ready Nodes on the Updates and
Recommendations page.
● Support for:
○ Update Rollup 3 for System Center Operations Manager 2019.
○ Update Rollup 10 for System Center Operations Manager 2016.
● Support for the following latest iDRAC9—based PowerEdge servers:
○ PowerEdge R7525, R6525, R7515, R6515
○ PowerEdge R750, R650, R750xa
○ PowerEdge R450, R550, R750xs, R650xs
○ PowerEdge C6525, C6520
○ PowerEdge MX750c
○ PowerEdge XR12, XR11

● Security enhancements:
○ For secure HTTP access (HTTPS), the OMIMSSC appliance supports Certificate Authority (CA) or Enterprise CA signed
certificates.
○ As part of ongoing security enhancements, various security-related improvements are implemented in this release.
