System Update Use Case Scenarios
The following table provides use case scenarios about how system updates occur based on different
protocols and the update modes.
NOTE: If the preferred system update method selected in Advanced Settings is In-Band (Operating
System) and OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA) is installed on the target server, the
components are updated using OMSA. If OMSA is not installed on the target server, the components
are updated through the operating system.
