Issue 2:
Description
The iDRAC Service Module deployment task is unsuccessful when parameters are provided for installing
selective components. [52132]
Resolution:
Perform one of the following
Create the iDRAC Service Module deployment task without any parameters, and then run the task.
After the deployment is completed, open the iDRAC web interface and enable or disable the
components.
Include the MAIN_FEATURE parameter along with the parameter you want to use. For example,
ADDLOCAL=OSInfo,MAIN_FEATURE.
Issue 3:
Description
Target selection changes made to a remote task are applied to other remote tasks, if the tasks are
created in quick succession. [49249]
Resolution:
Right-click and delete the affected remote tasks, and re-create the required remote tasks.
Issue 4:
Description
While deploying iSM on servers running Linux with OMSA version 7.4 or earlier, the deployment task may
display a success message, even though the task actually failed because of dependency issues. To
confirm if the task was successful or failed, you can see the task details. [48523]
Issue 5:
Description
The OMSA deployment task displays success even if OMSA is not installed because the selected OMSA
package is not supported on the target device. [45910]
Issue 6:
Description
The iDRAC Service Module (iSM) deployment task is unsuccessful when deploying iSM version 1.0 on a
target device running Linux operating system. [47177]
Resolution:
Ensure that the dependency packages/executables required for iSM deployment are installed on the
target device, and then run the task again. For information on the dependency files, see the "Linux Install
Dependency" section in the 'iDRAC Service Module Version 1.0 Installation Guide' at
dell.com/support/manuals.
Issue 7:
Description
After deployment of iDRAC Service Module (iSM) using a .rpm package, the iSM service
(dsm_ism_srvmgrd) is not started. [43476]
Resolution:
Start the iSM service manually on the server running Linux.
Issue 8:
Description
The Task Execution History of a Power Task (Power cycle, Reboot, or Power off) displays success even
though the task is not run on managed nodes that do not have OMSA installed. [41102]
