Issue 25:
Description
While creating an OpenManage Server Administrator update deployment task; the task may stay “In-
progress” state for 6 hours. This occurs in certain scenarios where OpenManage Server Administrator
was not properly uninstalled prior to running the update deployment task. This may also occur is the
task was interrupted during the deployment process.
Resolution:
Before running the update deployment task, make sure that OpenManage Server Administrator is
uninstalled from the target server and then create and OpenManage Server Administrator deployment
task.
Issue 26:
Description
Creating a Remote Server command task with the command “omreport system alertlog” may take longer
than expected to complete. This occurs if the alert logged on the target system is unusually large, the
task may fail to complete.
Resolution:
Review the alert log on the system to determine if the log can be cleared.
Issue 27:
Description
When Server Administrator deployment task is performed on more than 20 Linux targets, the task may
fail. This issue is due to the limitation on the number of simultaneous Server Administrator deployments
task OpenManage Essentials is capable of.
Resolution:
It is recommended to deploy Server Administrator on up to 20 targets for each task.
