cfgDNSRegisterRac (Read or Write)
Description Registers the iDRAC or management module name on the DNS server. When you set this parameter, the
management module registers its DNS name for its IPv4 and IPv6 addresses with the DNS server.
Legal Values
● 1 — True
● 0 — False
Default 0
NOTE: For IPv6, only the DHCPv6 address or static address is registered.
Example:

Description
Displays the management module name, which is Service Tag by default. This parameter is only valid if
cfgDNSRegisterRac is set to 1 (TRUE).
Legal Values
A string of up to 63 ASCII characters. At least one character must be alphabetic.
NOTE: Some DNS servers only register names of 31 characters or fewer.

cfgDNSDomainName (Read or Write)
Description
In the DNS domain name, parameter is only valid if cfgDNSDomainNameFromDHCP is set to 0(FALSE).
Legal Values
A string of up to 254 ASCII characters. At least one of the characters must be alphabetic. Characters are
restricted to alphanumeric, '-', and '.'.
NOTE: Microsoft Active Directory only supports Fully Qualified Domain Names (FQDN) of 64 bytes
or fewer.
