Valid Arguments

• On 12G and later systems: Enabled, Disabled
Description
Enables or disables the power button on the front panel.
Example:
A:>syscfg --powerbutton=enable
powerbutton=enable

Valid Arguments
• On systems prior to 12G: read-only
• On 12G and later systems: read-only
Description
Sets the setup password for the BIOS. The setup password locks the BIOS F2 screen.
The argument string supplied to this option is the password. Passwords are limited to
alphanumeric characters and cannot exceed 32 characters in length. If a current setup
password is set, it must be given through the oldsetuppwd option. This option is not
replicated. For more information on delimiters, see Command Line Option Delimiters .
Example:
A:>syscfg --setuppwd=asetuppassword
The password has been set. Please use a warm reboot to apply
the password to the system.
Example 2:
A:>syscfg --setuppwd=asetuppassword --
oldsetuppwd=currentpassword
The password has been set. Please use a warm reboot to apply
the password to the system.
Example 3:
A:>syscfg --setuppwd=asetuppassword --
oldsetuppwd=currentpassword
The old password entered is incorrect. The new password will
not be set. Please try again.
