Option Valid Arguments Description
--envfile <filename>
Reads the environment variable le (included in DTK as sys.ini ) and sets
environment variables to names in the le, based on the system's information.
Primarily, this command performs a PCI scan and matches the vendor/device
numbers of the devices to those specied in the environment variable le. For
more information, see the Environment Variable File.
Example:
A:>syscfg --envfile sys.ini

Reports the amount of system memory physically installed in the system, not
the amount of memory available to an operating system. If used with the -s
option, the environment variable is set to the amount of system memory. The
last two characters of the memory value indicate the order of magnitude used
(KB or MB).
Example:
A:>syscfg --mem
mem=256MB
-n <filename>
Species an input le to use for resolving PCI vendor and device numbers to
strings. The le must be present (with read rights) and contain a properly
formatted list. For more information, see PCI Reporting . This option must be
used with the pci option.
Example:
A:>syscfg -n pci.txt --pci

When used with the outfile option, this option species that the output
le should be overwritten if it exists.
NOTE: This option is applicable only on PowerEdge systems prior to
12G.
Example:
A:>syscfg -outfile=out.ini --ovrwrt
--pci*
None
Performs a scan of all PCI buses and displays the results. The utility uses an
open source pci.ids le for vendor/device name resolution. The utility
looks for a le called pci.ids in the current working directory. If the le is
not found in the current working directory, the directory containing the
SYSCFG executable is searched. If the
-n option is used to specify a
lename, this lename is used for resolution. If a specic lename is not given
