Description
Sets the BIOS console redirection to enable or disable when the
operating system is loaded.
Example:

Valid Arguments
• On systems prior to 12G: on, com1cr, com2cr, off
• On 12G and later systems: OnNoConRedir, OnConRedirCom1,
OnConRedirCom2, Off
Description Enables or disables the serial communication devices (Serial Device 1
and Serial Device 2) in BIOS.
Example:
A:>syscfg --SerialComm=OnNoConRedir
SerialComm=OnNoConRedir
Applicable Systems All PowerEdge 12G and later systems.

Valid Arguments
• On systems prior to 12G: default, alternate
• On 12G and later systems: Serial1Com1Serial2Com2,
Serial1Com2Serial2Com1, Com1, Com2
Description
Sets the port address of the serial devices.
On systems prior to 12G, when this option is default, Serial Device 1 is
set to COM port 1 and Serial Device 2 is set to COM port 2.
On systems prior to 12G, when this option is alternate, Serial Device 1
is set to COM port 2 and Serial Device 2 is set to COM port 1.
This option can be replicated.
Example:
A:>syscfg --serialportaddrsel=default
serialportaddrsel=default
