setuppwd
<string> Allows to set a new setup password if
a setup password is already present on
the system. The setup password locks
the BIOS setup screen. The argument
string supplied to this option is the
current password. If this password is
not correct, the new setup password is
not applied to the system. Generally,
passwords are limited to
alphanumeric characters and cannot
exceed 32 characters in length. This
option is not replicated. For more
information on delimiters, see
"Command Line Option Delimiters"
on page 15.
Example:
A:>syscfg --setuppwd=
asetuppassword --
oldsetuppwd=
currentpassword
The password has been set.
Please use a warm reboot
to apply the password to
the system.
