Creating Operating System Installation Directories for Windows Server 2003
Operating Systems
To deploy Windows Server 2003 operating systems:

On a management station create a network sharable folder, for example
os_deploy
.

Create two folders
os_deploy\Dell
and
os_deploy\W2K3SRC
.

Copy the
Dell
folder from extracted WinPE toolkit to
os_deploy\Dell
on
the management station.

Copy
i386
folder from the Windows Server 2003 operating system CD to
os_deploy\W2K3SRC
on the management station.

For a target system, for example, PowerEdge R515, create the following
directory structure:
os_deploy\Dell\x32\toolkit\systems\PER515\$OEM$.NET\textmode
NOTE:
The target system name should be DTK standard name. To
know the system name, run
TKENVSET.BAT
located in the
x:\Dell\32\Toolkit\template\scripts
directory,
and then run the
SET
command. In the
Details
section, see the
DT_PLATFORM
name.

Download the driver for RAID controller on the target system from
support.dell.com.

Copy the extracted driver files to the
textmode
folder under
os_deploy\Dell\x32\toolkit\systems\PER515\$OEM$.NET
.

Copy
unattend.txt
from
os_deploy\dell\x32\toolkit\template\configs
folder to
os_deploy\dell\toolkit\systems\PER515
.
