Messages and Codes
This section documents the error messages and codes used in Dell™
OpenManage™ Deployment Toolkit (DTK).
SYSCFG Error Codes and Messages
The SYSCFG utility checks your commands for correct syntax and valid
input. When you enter a command, a message is displayed stating the results
of the command.
Failure Messages
The SYSCFG utility failure messages provide error codes to help diagnose
why some commands do not succeed.
Table A-1 lists SYSCFG error codes and messages.

1 Attempt to read write-only parameter.
2 Password cannot exceed 16 characters.
3 A BMC was either not detected or is not supported.
4 This username is already in use. Enter a unique
username.
5 Access mode not supported.
6 Cannot return number of requested data bytes.
7 User ID 1 cannot be assigned a username.
8 Cannot execute duplicated request.
9 There was an error clearing the SEL.
