Operations Manager
Turn on LED Identification
You can use this task to turn on LED identification on the server.
1 In the MOM Operators Console , select the Dell system from which you want to launch Server
Administrator.
2 In the Tasks panes, select Dell OpenManage → Turn on LED Identification .
THe LED is turned on for 255 seconds.
3 Click Finish to submit the task.
Click the Ta sk status in the Event view to display the events that are generated for task execution.
Processing Rule Groups
Dell Systems Event Processing Rules
Dell event processing rules are divided into six categories: Server Administrator, Storage Management,
Array Manager, State Monitoring and Service Discovery, Discovery, and Management Servers.
Server Administrator
This category includes all warning and critical events for Server Administrator versions 1.6–5.2. All of
these events have a corresponding event processing rule.
Each of these rules are processed based on the following criteria:
• Source Name = "Server Administrator"
• Event ID = Actual event ID of the Server Administrator instrumentation event
• Severity = Severity of the actual event
• Data Provider = Windows system event log
Storage Management
This category includes all warning and critical events for the Server Administrator enhanced Storage
Management Service versions 1.0–2.2. All of these events have a corresponding event processing rule.
Each of these rules are processed based on the following criteria:
• Source Name = "Server Administrator"
• Event ID = Actual event ID of the Server Administrator Storage Service event
• Severity = Severity of the actual event
• Data Provider = Windows system event log
• Category = Storage Service
