Update Dell State View
You can update the status of a Dell system using the Update Dell State View task.

In the
MOM Operators Console
, select
Dell OpenManage
.

Select the Dell system for which you want to update the state.

Click
Update Dell State View
.
A Launch Task wizard appears.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Click
Finish
to submit the task.
You can view the status of the task by using the Event view in the MOM Operators Console. Click the
Task status in the Event view to display the events that are generated for task execution.
When a task is initiated or completed, MOM logs an event.
Turn Off LED Identification
You can use this task to turn off LED identification on the server.

In the
MOM Operators Console
, select the Dell system from which you want to launch Server
Administrator.

In the Tasks panes, select
Dell OpenManage
→
Turn off LED Identification
.

Click
Finish
to submit the task.
Click the Ta sk status in the Event view to display the events that are generated for task execution.
Turn on LED Identification
You can use this task to turn on LED identification on the server.

MOM Operators Console
, select the Dell system from which you want to launch Server
Administrator.

In the Tasks panes, select
Dell OpenManage
→
Turn on LED Identification
.
THe LED is turned on for 255 seconds.

Finish
to submit the task.
