Manufacturer
A string identifying manufacturer of the processor.
MaxClockSpeed
The maximum speed (in MHz) of this Processor.
Name
The Name property defines the label by which the object is known. When subclassed, the
Name property can be overridden to be a Key property.
Status
A string indicating the current status of the object. Various operational and non-operational
statuses are defined.
Operational statuses are:
OK
Degraded
Stressed - Indicates that the Element is functioning, but needs attention. Examples of
"Stressed" states are overload, overheated, etc.
Pred Fail (Failure Predicted) - Indicates that an Element is functioning properly but
predicting a failure in the near future. An example is a SMART-enabled hard drive.
Non-operational statuses are:
Error
NonRecover - Indicates that a non-recoverable error has occurred.
Starting
Stopping
Stopped - Indicates that the ManagedSystemElement is known to exist, it is not
operational (i.e. it is unable to provide service to users), but it has not failed. It has
purposely been made non-operational. The Element may have never been "OK", the
Element may have initiated its own stop, or a management system may have initiated
the stop.
Service - Describes an Element being configured, maintained, cleaned, or otherwise
administered. This status could apply during mirror-resilvering of a disk, reload of a
user permissions list, or other administrative task. Not all such work is on-line, yet
the Element is neither "OK" nor in one of the other states.
No Contact - Indicates that the current instance of the monitoring system has
knowledge of this Element but has never been able to establish communications
with it.
Lost Comm - Indicates that the ManagedSystemElement is known to exist and has
been contacted successfully in the past, but is currently unreachable.
Stepping
Stepping is a free-form string indicating the revision level of the Processor within the
Processor family.
