Important Notes
Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Support: You can enable SNMP support while installing
Client Instrumentation. The Management Information Base (MIB) file is shared between Server
Administrator and Client Instrumentation. As OMCI currently employs an OID that is traditionally used
as a Dell server OID consoles may identify systems as servers instead of workstations, notebooks or
desktops (collectively “clients”).
All DCIM\SYSMAN namespace classes are prefixed with
DCIM whereas all DellOMCI namespace classes
are prefixed with
Dell .
Known Issues
Issue 1:
Some properties of DCIM_DesktopMonitor are incorrectDescription: The following properties under
DCIM_DesktopMonitor appear blank or display ‘0’: InputSource InputSourceCapabilities, CurrentResolutionH
CurrentResolutionV, ColorModePresetCapabilities, FrequencyH, FrequencyV, Brightness, Contrast, MaxBrightness,
and MaxContrast.
Resolution:
• InputSource and InputSourceCapabilities - Users can get equivalent results from
InputAnalog/InputDigital/InputDisplayPort/InputDVI/InputHDMI properties under the same
DCIM_DesktopMonitor class.
• CurrentResolutionH and CurrentResolutionV - Users can get this information from
CurrentVerticalResolution/ CurrentHorizontalResolution from DCIM_VideoHead class.
• FrequencyH and FrequencyV - Users can get this information from WmiMonitorListedSupportedSourceMode
class under root\wmi namespace.
• Brightness, Contrast, MaxBrightness, MaxContrast - No solution
Issue 2:
Enumeration of DCIM_ElementCapabilities class results in error
Description: Enumeration of DCIM_ElementCapabilities class returns error through winrm on a few platforms. WMI
studio and
Wbetest works fine.
