Introduction
The Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation (OMCI) software enables remote management application programs to access information about the client
system, monitor the status of the client system, or change the state of the system, such as shutting it down remotely. OMCI exposes, through standard
interfaces, key system parameters that allow administrators to manage, inventory, monitor the system health of, and gather information on deployed Dell
client systems.
Note: All classes or properties listed in the reference guide may not be supported on all Dell systems.
OMCI Namespaces
The following Namespaces are available in OMCI:
Standard Namespace (New Namespace) - This namespace is standards-based with implementation of multiple profiles as defined by the DMTF.
The CIM schema for this namespace is 2.17 and provides all functionality of OMCI. The classes and properties in the standard namespace are listed in
the following table:

Legacy Namespace (Compatibility Mode) - This is the namespace that was used in the OMCI 7.x version. It is Dell proprietary and based on CIM
schema 2.6. This namespace is available with limited functionality and is read-only for allowing for transitioning of customers over to the new
namespace.
