scoping container. Therefore, the key for physical element is an arbitrary string and is defined independently of any placement or location-oriented hierarchy.
Dell_DiskDrive
BytesPerSector The BytesPerSector property indicates the number of bytes in each sector for the physical disk drive.
Caption The caption of the device.
CreationClassName Creation class name indicates the name of the class or the subclass used in the creation of an instance. When used with the other key properties of this class, this property allows all instances of this
class and its subclasses to be uniquely identified.
Description A short description of the disk drive
DeviceID An address or other identifying information to uniquely name the logical device.
InterfaceDescription A longer description of the mass storage interface.For example, SCSI2 fast wide.
Manufacturer The Manufacturer property indicates the name of the disk drive manufacturer.
MediaLoaded If true, the media is loaded.
The following values are defined:
0 = False
1 = True
MediaType The MediaType property is the type of media used or accessed by this device.
Model The Model property indicates the manufacturer's model number of the disk drive.
Name The Name property defines the label by which the object is known. When subclassed, the Name property can be overridden to be a Key property.
Partitions The number of partitions on this storage unit.
PhysicalCylinders The number of reported physical cylinders on this device.
PhysicalHeads The number of reported physical heads for this device.
PhysicalSectorsPerTrack The number of reported physical sectors per track for this device.
Status This property indicates the current status of the logical device.
The following values are defined:
OK
Error
Degraded
Unknown
Pred Fail
Starting
Stopping
Service
Stressed
NonRecover
No Contact
Lost Comm
Stopped
SystemCreationClassName The scoping System's Creation class name.
SystemName The scoping System's Name.
TotalPhysicalSize The total size in kilobytes (1024 bytes) of this device that is available to users
TotalSectors The Total Sectors property indicates the total number of sectors on the physical disk drive.Note: the value for this property is obtained through extended functions of BIOS interrupt 13h. The value
may be inaccurate if the drive uses a translation scheme to support high capacity disk sizes. Consult the manufacturer for accurate drive specifications.
TotalTracks The Total Tracks property indicates the total number of tracks on the physical disk drive. Note: the value for this property is obtained through extended functions of BIOS interrupt 13h. The value may
be inaccurate if the drive uses a translation scheme to support high capacity disk sizes. Consult the manufacturer for accurate drive specifications.
TracksPerCylinder The Tracks Per Cylinder property indicates the number of tracks in each cylinder on the physical disk drive. Note: the value for this property is obtained through extended functions of BIOS interrupt
13h. The value may be inaccurate if the drive uses a translation scheme to support high capacity disk sizes. Consult the manufacturer for accurate drive specifications.
Dell_Docking
Caption The caption of the device.
CreationClassName Creation class name indicates the name of the class or the subclass used in the creation of an instance. When used with the other key properties of this class, this property allows all instances of this
class and its subclasses to be uniquely identified.
Description A short description of the docking.
DockingStationCapabilities This defines the type of docking supported.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = System not docked
4 = Unable to determine docking capabilities
5 = Function not supported
6 = Cold Docking
7 = Warm Docking
8 = Hot Docking
DockingStationNetworkStatus Set to enabled if you want the Network device drivers to load automatically on reboot. Set to disabled if you do not want the drivers to load automatically.
The following values are defined:
0 = Disabled
1 = Enabled
2 = Unsupported
DockingStationSCSIStatus Set to enabled if you want the SCSI device drivers to load automatically on reboot. Set to disabled if you do not want the drivers to load automatically.
The following values are defined:
