HARDWARE RESOURCE
This section provides information about hardware resources such as DMA, infrared controller, IRQ, memory resources, parallel controller, and so on. Table 1-4 lists Dell OMCI Hardware Resource classes and properties.
Table 1-4: Dell OpenManage Client Instrumentation Hardware Resource Classes and Properties
Dell_DMA
AddressSize An integer indicating the DMA Channel address size in bits. Permissible values are 8, 16, 32 or 64 bits. If unknown, enter 0.
Availability Availability of the DMA.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = Available
4 = In Use/Not Available
5 = In Use and Available/Shareable
BurstMode Indication that the DMA Channel supports burst mode.
ByteMode Indicates whether DMA may execute in 'count by byte' mode or not, Other and Unknown may be defined.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = Not execute in 'count by byte' mode
4 = Execute in 'count by byte' mode
Caption The caption of the device.
ChannelTiming DMA channel timing.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = ISA Compatible
4 = Type A
5 = Type B
6 = Type F
CreationClassName CreationClassName indicates the name of the class or the subclass used in the creation of an instance. When used with the other key properties of this class, this property allows all instances of this class and
its subclasses to be uniquely identified.
CSCreationClassName The scoping computer system's Creation class name.
CSName The scoping computer system's Name.
Description A short description of DMA.
DMAChannel A part of the object's key value, the DMA Channel number.
MaxTransferSize The maximum number of bytes that can be transferred by this DMA Channel. If unknown, enter 0.
Name The Name property defines the label by which the object is known. When subclassed, the Name property can be overridden to be a Key property.
Port The Port property specifies the DMA port used by the host bus adapter. This is meaningful for MCA-type buses.
TransferWidths An array indicating all the transfer widths (in bits) supported by this DMA Channel. Permissible values are 8, 16, 32, 64 or 128 bits.If unknown, enter 0.
TypeCTiming Indicates whether C type (burst) timing is supported or not.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = ISA Compatible
4 = Not Supported
5 = Supported
WordMode Indicates whether DMA may execute in 'count by word' mode or not.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = Not execute in 'count by word' mode
4 = Execute in 'count by word' mode
Dell_InfraredController
Caption The caption of the device.
CreationClassName Creation class name indicates the name of the class or the subclass used in the creation of an instance. When used with the other key properties of this class, this property allows all instances of this class and
its subclasses to be uniquely identified.
Description A short description of the infrared controller.
DeviceID An address or other identifying information to uniquely name the logical device.
EnableState Defines whether IR is enabled or disabled
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = Enabled
4 = Disabled
LimitSpeedEnable Defines whether IR speed is limited or not.
