DockingUndockingSequence Defines whether the docking station provides support for controlling the docking/undocking sequence.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = System not docked
4 = Unable to determine docking capabilities
5 = Function not supported
6 = Surprise Style
7 = VCR Style
Manufacturer The name of the organization responsible for producing the physical element. This may be the entity from whom the Element is purchased, but this is not necessarily true. The latter information is contained in
the Vendor property of CIM_Product.
Name The Name property defines the label by which the object is known. When sub classed, the Name property can be overridden to be a Key property.
SerialNumber A manufacturer-allocated number used to identify the physical element.
Tag An arbitrary string that uniquely identifies the physical element and serves as the element's key. The Tag property can contain information such as asset tag or serial number data. The key for physical
element is placed very high in the object hierarchy in order to independently identify the hardware/entity, regardless of physical placement in or on Cabinets, Adapters, etc. For example, a hot swappable or
removable component may be taken from its containing (scoping) Package and be temporarily unused. The object still continues to exist - and may even be inserted into a different scoping container.
Therefore, the key for physical element is an arbitrary string and is defined independently of any placement or location-oriented hierarchy.
Dell_Fan
ActiveCooling Active Cooling is a boolean indicating that the Cooling Device provides active (as opposed to passive) cooling.
Caption The caption of the device.
CoolingDeviceType Defines the type of Cooling Device.
The following values are defined:
1 = Other
2 = Unknown
3 = Fan
4 = Centrifugal Blower
5 = Chip Fan
6 = Cabinet Fan
7 = Power Supply Fan
8 = Heat Pipe
9 = Integrated Refrigeration
32 = Active Cooling
33 = Passive Cooling
CreationClassName Creation class name indicates the name of the class or the subclass used in the creation of an instance. When used with the other key properties of this class, this property allows all instances of this class and
its subclasses to be uniquely identified.
Description A short description of the fan.
DesiredSpeed Desired Speed is the currently requested fan speed, defined in Revolutions per Minute, when a variable speed fan is supported (Variable Speed boolean = TRUE). The current speed is determined via a sensor
(CIM_Tachometer) that is associated with the Fan using the CIM_AssociatedSensor relationship.
DeviceID An address or other identifying information to uniquely name the logical device.
