Usage
Information
This features allows you to limit the number of multicast entries on the system. This number is
the sum total of all the multicast entries on all stack-units in the system. For each stack-unit,
the multicast module only installs the maximum possible number of entries, depending on the
configured CAM profile.
Use the IN-L3-McastFib CAM partition to store multicast routes. It is a separate hardware limit
that exists per port-pipe. Any software-configured limit might be superseded by this hardware
space limitation. The opposite is also true, the CAM partition might not be exhausted at the
time the system-wide route limit set by the ip multicast-limit command is reached.
