forward-delay – the amount of time the interface waits in the Blocking State and the Learning
State before transitioning to the Forwarding State.
max-age – changes the wait time before MSTP refreshes protocol configuration information.
max-age
Set the time interval for the MSTB to maintain configuration information before refreshing that information.

Syntax
max-age seconds
To return to the default values, use the no max-age command.
Parameters
max-age Enter a number of seconds the FTOS waits before refreshing
configuration information. The range is 6 to 40. The default is 20
seconds.
Defaults 20 seconds
