neighbor maximum-prefix
Control the number of network prefixes received.

Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} maximum-prefix maximum
[threshold] [warning-only]
To return to the default values, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-
name} maximum-prefix maximum command.
Parameters
ip-address
Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group.
maximum
Enter a number as the maximum number of prefixes allowed for this
BGP router. The range is 1 to 4294967295.
threshold
(OPTIONAL) Enter a number to be used as a percentage of the
maximum value. When the number of prefixes reaches this
percentage of the maximum value, the S5000 software sends a
message. The range is 1 to 100 percent. The default is 75.
warning-only (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword warning-only to set the router to
send a log message when the maximum value is reached. If this
parameter is not set, the router stops peering when the maximum
number of prefixes is reached.

Allows you to configure the router as the next hop for a BGP neighbor.

neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} next-hop-self
To return to the default setting, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-
name} next-hop-self command.
Parameters
ip-address
Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group.
