Parameters
ipv4-address
|
ipv6-address
Enter an IPv4 address (A.B.C.D) or IPv6 address (X:X:X:X::X).
hostname
Enter the hostname of the server.
key
keyid
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword key and a number as the NTP peer
key. The range is 1 to 4294967295.
prefer (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword prefer to indicate that this peer has
priority over other servers.
version
number
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword version and a number to
correspond to the NTP version used on the server. The range is 1 to 3.

Usage
Information
You can configure multiple time serving hosts (up to 250). From these time serving hosts, the
FTOS choses one NTP host with which to synchronize. Use the show ntp associations
command to determine which server was selected.
Because a large number of polls to NTP hosts can impact network performance, Dell
Networking recommends limiting the number of hosts configured.
